A Feast of Folly
Jock Mooney
24 July – 2 August 2008
To mark the launch of Jock Mooney’s self-titled book Vane is hosting an exhibition of the artist’s recent work.
Since 2004 Mooney has exhibited internationally in a string of critically acclaimed solo and group exhibitions. Mooney’s work is also familiar to many music fans, having recently graced the covers of a number of releases by Dan le Sac VS Scroobius Pip and the ‘next big thing’ Isosceles. As part of ‘A Feast of Folly’ the artist’s music video collaboration with animator Alasdair Brotherston for Tom Fun Family Orchestra’s Throw me to the rats will also be shown in the gallery alongside recent drawings and a limited edition series of prints.
The cream of Jock Mooney’s work from 2004-2008 has been condensed into a hardback book, also featuring an essay by artist and lecturer John Beagles. The ‘Jock Mooney’ publication is limited to 300 copies, price £10, and available from the gallery.
