Modern city life is both regulated and facilitated by a multitude of tokens and tickets. Tickets please… is a celebration of this and an examination of how tickets serve to build a collective identity of the city and its people. Parking, cloakroom, bus, dry-clean, cinema and raffle tickets, to name just a few, together generate an alternative map of the places, businesses and cultures present in the city. Tickets please… was shown at Newcastle Central Library.
