The Kiss of a Lifetime

Vane’s second presentation as part of the Northern Print Biennale, ‘The Kiss of a Lifetime (Part 2)’ is curated by Manchester-based artist and curator, Mike Chavez-Dawson. The exhibition features the work of over 100 artists, both internationally renowned and emerging, from the UK and abroad and examines what ‘the kiss’ signifies within contemporary culture – from the romantic to the lifesaving, from the prosaic to the violent.

‘The Kiss Of A Lifetime’ is a touring exhibition and Part 1 took place at Rogue Project Space, Rogue Artists Studios, Manchester, 14-28 February, and Part 3 took place at Bearspace, London, 4-12 September. Initiated by Northern Print in partnership with culture10, Northern Print Biennale is the first major competition and exhibition of contemporary printmaking in the UK for almost 20 years. Newcastle Gateshead will celebrate contemporary and historical printmaking through a broad programme of exhibitions and events from 26 June to 4 October 2009.
