The large street-level windows of the former Newcastle Lighting Centre host a work made of coloured lighting gels, based on images of Newcastle’s architecture. During the day people inside the building look out through the gels, which colour the view of the street outside. At night the windows are lit from behind, allowing the piece to be viewed from the street.
